CURIOO Greenpreneurs 2026 is officially launched as a national creative competition in English for students aged 10 to 17, organised by CURIOO Vietnam.

The competition challenges students to design real-world, application-based projects that propose sustainable development solutions rooted in the local cultural, social, culinary, tourism, and environmental identities of provinces and cities across Vietnam.

This is a unique opportunity for young learners to develop green thinking, critical analysis, academic presentation skills in English, and to expand their international academic exposure and connections.

I. General Overview

CURIOO Greenpreneurs 2026 is an English-based innovation competition for students aged 10–17, designed to foster critical thinking, academic communication skills, and a sustainability-driven mindset.

With the theme:

“Local Roots – Global Vision: Vietnam Through the Eyes of Future Leaders”

the programme encourages students to view Vietnam through a modern, multicultural, and global lens, empowering them to grow as future global citizens while staying deeply connected to local identity.

II. Programme Objectives & Benefits

2.1. Benefits for Students

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop green design thinking and real-world problem-solving skills

  • Strengthen critical thinking, project storytelling, and academic presentation skills in English

  • Experience academic interviews with international partner schools

  • Participate in an international-standard Coaching Bootcamp

  • Access scholarships and learning incentives from domestic and overseas programmes

  • Build a personal academic project portfolio to support future scholarship and university applications

III. Eligibility & Participation Fees

Eligible Participants

  • Students aged 10–17

  • Vietnamese citizens or international students currently studying or residing in Vietnam or overseas

Participation Format

  • Individual or team-based (maximum 3 students per team)

Participation Fees

  • Round 1: Free of charge

  • Round 2: 500,000 VND per student

    • (20% contributed to charitable and environmental protection initiatives)

Parental Consent

  • Required for all participants under 18 years old


IV. Awards & Scholarships

  • Total prize value: up to 400 million VND

  • Study-abroad scholarships (Vietnam & overseas): up to 20%

  • 100% scholarship for a 3-month course at CURIOO Vietnam

  • Direct interview opportunities with international partner schools in the UK, Canada, or Australia

V. Competition Timeline

  • Round 1 (06/01 – 14/02): Project submission

  • Round 2 (28/02 – 07/03): Interviews with international partner schools

  • Coaching Bootcamp (09/03 – 20/03): Intensive academic training

  • 72-Hour Hackathon (20/03 – 22/03): Project refinement and enhancement

  • National Final (28/03): Final project presentations and awards


VI. Submission Requirements & Format

Participants are required to submit:

  • English presentation video (maximum 90 seconds)

  • Project presentation deck (5–10 pages, PDF or PPT)

  • Optional: poster or prototype model

Project Requirements

  • Address a real issue in a specific province or city

  • Clearly reflect local cultural identity

  • Propose a sustainable development solution

VIII. Priority Selection & Interview Rounds

Special Fast-Track Opportunities

  • 5 fast-track slots to Round 2 for projects with outstanding social media engagement

Interview Round – Selecting the Priority Top 50

After Round 1, selected participants will be invited to online interviews with academic representatives from international partner schools (UK, Canada, Australia).

Interview Format

  • Online via Zoom or equivalent platform

  • Official schedule and technical guidelines sent at least 3 days in advance

Purpose

  • Assess academic thinking, project understanding, and development potential

Based on international panel evaluations, Top 50 priority participants will be selected.

Priority Benefits

  • Exempted from Coaching Bootcamp and Hackathon

  • Prioritised for National Final selection


8.2. Coaching Bootcamp – International-Standard Training

Designed for participants not selected in the priority list, the Coaching Bootcamp focuses on:

  • Refining project structure (problem – solution – impact)

  • Academic presentation skills, slide design, tone, and delivery

  • Simulated Q&A sessions to build confidence and adaptability


8.3. 72-Hour Hackathon – Selecting the Top 30 Finalists

Following the Bootcamp, students will have 72 consecutive hours to upgrade their projects, including:

  • Presentation slides (max. 10 pages)

  • English project video (max. 90 seconds)

  • Poster or prototype (if applicable)

Note: Projects must build upon the original Round 1 idea and location.

The Top 30 projects will advance to the National Final.


IX. National Final & Scholarship Conditions

1. Finalists

The National Final will include:

  • Top 50 priority participants from the interview round

  • Top 30 finalists selected after the Hackathon


2. Location & Format

The National Final will be held in person at CURIOO Studios in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, or Da Nang (location announced based on participant region).


3. Final Round Activities

Finalists will:

  • Exhibit posters or prototypes to judges, parents, and partner universities

  • Deliver presentations including:

    • 2 minutes project presentation in English

    • 3 minutes live Q&A with the academic panel


4. Mandatory Scholarship Conditions

  • Scholarships are non-transferable and non-convertible to cash

  • Valid only for the specified programme and timeline

  • Families are responsible for related costs (visa, flights, insurance, living expenses, etc.)

  • Scholarships apply only if minimum enrolment requirements are met

  • The Organising Committee and partner schools reserve the right to verify submissions and academic records

  • Final scholarship decisions rest with the Organising Committee and/or partner institutions


Prize & Reward Regulations

  • Rewards and vouchers are non-cash and non-combinable

  • Usage conditions and validity will be announced with Final Results

  • The Organising Committee may adjust reward formats in force majeure situations while ensuring equivalent value

Copyright, Conduct & Disqualification

  • Copyright: All submissions must be original with proper citations

  • Conduct: Respect competitors, mentors, and judges; no cheating; no fully AI-generated products

  • Disqualification applies to:

    • Late or incorrect submissions

    • Failure to attend required interviews

    • Proven plagiarism or academic dishonesty
